The UAG presents, for the first time in Pittsburgh, the work of Canadian artist Isabelle Hayeur. The photographs on display are selected from her on-going series Excavations
, and expose human alterations to an environment.
The artist will be present for the opening reception, on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, from 5-7pm.
Guest speaker Eric Dorfman, director of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, will give the opening words.
The gallery will be closed on Monday, October 9, for Fall break.
There will be special hours for Homecoming on Friday, October 13, until 6pm.
Guided tours and discussions on the exhibition will be offered.
